    How to Exercise Based on Your Personality Type

    Summer is coming to an end, but it’s no excuse to put your workout routine on hold. The best types of exercise for you is one that motivates you all year round.

    Believe it or not, your personality does determine your exercise preferences to a certain extent, according to a study from the British Psychological Society.1 For example, if you’re a creative type, it’s likely that you’d prefer outdoor activities like cycling and hiking.

    A bit of an adventurer? Rock-climbing could be perfect for you! And if you’re an introvert, chances are you prefer running alone or yoga. Different personality types tend to display different learning styles, which could explain different exercise preferences.2

    Are you a morning or an evening person? If you’re an evening person, don’t schedule your workout in the morning. Sometimes it’s not the exercise that you dislike, you just don’t like being up so early.

    Are you a social person or more of a loner? Do you consider exercise a social event? If you prefer going solo, swimming or running would be a good choice. Enjoy running but don’t want to be alone? Join a running club!
