    The Pursuit of Happiness

    The_Pursuit_of_Happiness

Everyone got their own mood swings. We can feel happy in one moment and down at another. Here are some tips that help us to pursue happiness in our lives.

    Have enough Irons and B-Vitamins

The amount of blood sugar level we have affects our mood. To stay refreshed and concentrated throughout the day, having a good breakfast made up of food that release energy slowly to start your day is extremely important.

Taking enough iron and B-Vitamins is recommended too. Red meat and fishes are a great source of iron, so does whole grains and leafy green vegetables. Meat is full of B-Vitamins, but if you are a vegetarian, you can get it from asparagus, broccoli, bananas, milk, dried apricots, and brown rice.

Remember to stay hydrated all the time too!

    Workout regularly

Not many people would think that they have the energy to go for workouts, especially after a long day of work. However, try doing a 10-15 minutes of exercise daily.1 That’d actually help changing our mood from gloom to bloom in a short period of time!1 In long term, regular workouts may treat our mild depression and anxiety problems.

Cycling, swimming, walking or dancing, any kind of rhythmic exercises can truly boost up your motivation and positivity. Besides, they can also expand your social circle.

    Have enough sleep

Sleep quality affects our mental well-being. Most people need between seven and eight hours of sleep a day but it varies among people. Just make sure you get enough to feel refreshed when you wake up in the morning.

    Be where the lights are

Go out to the sun. Hang out with your friends. Do something meaningful to the community such as volunteering. Even when you feel like staying indoor, make sure you are in an environment with sufficient lighting, that’d help uplift your mood.

When you are feeling down, pause by taking a deep breath. Talk to others and share how you feel.

By setting short or long term reachable target, that shall keep your focus away from the bad things and eye on the prize instead!
