Hospitalization for surgery or treatment can be financially and emotionally overwhelming. With Cigna Healthcare Cashless Medical Service, eligible customers can enjoy a seamless hospital experience. This service simplifies the admission process, allowing patients and their families to focus on treatment and recovery without worrying about unexpected medical expenses.

Customers enrolled in the following Cigna medical plans are eligible:
Our service covers all 13 private hospitals in Hong Kong as of date, allowing you to arrange prompt admission and treatment when needed.

Submit Pre-approval Form for Cashless Medical Service to the email listed on the form for approval prior the hospitalization, day case surgery and Advanced Diagnostics Imaging services to apply for the Cashless Medical Service.
Upon receipt of the Cashless Medical Service request with completed information, we will inform you the pre-approval result, approved credit amount and out-of-pocket amount (if any) via email or phone call within 5 working days.
Letter of Guarantee relating to application for Cashless Medical Service will be sent to you through phone call or email, your admitting hospital and attending doctor for approval notification. You can enjoy seamless admission without paying any upfront hospital deposits with presentation of your identity documentation to hospital during admission.

Cashless Medical Service is applicable to designated Cigna medical plans, and the covered medical expenses are subject to the terms & conditions and benefit coverage of your policy. If you fail to meet the requirements for the Cashless Medical Service, you may need to pay for the consultation and/or medical expenses upfront, then submit a claim to Cigna Healthcare for reimbursement, which shall be subject to the terms & conditions and benefit coverage of your policy.
The Policy Holder is responsible for settling any amount if there is any remaining deductible in any Policy Year (if applicable). If the medical expense exceeds the payable amount under the eligible benefit of the policy, or is otherwise not eligible for reimbursement under the policy, the Policy Holder is required to settle the remaining amount.
Upon receipt of the Cashless Medical Service request with completed information, we will inform you the pre-approval result, approved credit amount and out-of-pocket amount (if any) via email or phone call within 5 working days.
Cashless medical service is subject to ongoing review throughout the admission after initial approval, for example, for extended hospitalization, based on medical necessity, policy terms and conditions, and applicable benefit coverage.
Your Cashless Medical Service pre-approval request might be declined due to but not limited to the following reasons:
Cashless Medical Service is a value-added service which provides preliminary review of requested treatment/procedure based on medical information received, policy coverage, benefit and Term & Condition. If your application is declined (except for the following circumstances), you may submit a claim to Cigna Healthcare for reimbursement, which shall be subject to the terms & conditions and benefit coverage of your policy.
Remarks:
The Cashless Medical Service is not a contractual service but an additional administrative arrangement offered at the absolute discretion of Cigna Healthcare of the advance payment of the covered expenses incurred during the Insured Person’s Prescribed Diagnostic Imaging Tests / Day Case Procedure / Hospital Confinement. Cigna Healthcare reserves the right to amend or cancel the service at any time without prior notice. Medical service providers are independent third-parties and not our agent, and vice versa. Cigna Healthcare makes no representation, warranty or undertaking as to the quality and availability of the service and shall not accept any responsibility or liability for the services provided by the service providers. Under no circumstance shall Cigna Healthcare be responsible or liable for the acts or omissions of the service provider in the provision of such services.
