Do you feel increasingly bored and disillusioned by the drudgery of your daily routine? Well, shaking up your routine doesn't require a sea change. You can start with something as simple as changing your meal plan. Contrary to popular belief, it's possible to eat meals that are both healthy and delicious.
For example, you could add a new ingredient to your diet. If you normally reach for an apple or a banana to help get your five-a-day, why not try an exotic fruit? Tropical fruit like mangos and kiwis are packed with vitamin C, and taste great too. Alternatively, replace the simple carbs in your diet with complex carbs. This gem of a recipe makes fibre-packed whole-wheat noodles taste just as good as pasta.

Alternatively, you could play around with your meal portions. Do you normally have a heavy lunch and dinner? Eat a bigger breakfast instead. You'll feel more alert and energetic before lunchtime, and may even reduce the risk of heart disease.1 Start the day right with a glass of fruit juice, some whole-wheat bread or granola, and two eggs.
The point is, eating healthily doesn't have to be a chore. You should look forward to each and every meal, and if you don't, the new food challenge is just what you need to liven up your diet!
