    De-stressing Eats for Entrepreneurs

    de-stressing-eats-for-entrepreneurs

Being an entrepreneur has a long list of advantages, but it also comes with an inordinate amount of stress. Enduring too much stress over a period of time depletes your body of nutrients, making you exhausted and reducing your capabilities at work. While stress is inevitable, the easiest way to tackle it is through your diet.

Whole foods, especially fruit and vegetables, provide the brain with the nutrients necessary for key processes involved in mood and well-being. For instance, vitamin C-rich foods like strawberry, broccoli and blueberry are involved in the production of dopamine, a famous feel-good hormone associated with motivation and drive.1

Foods such as banana, grains and beans are rich in B vitamins and carbohydrates, essential ingredients for the synthesis of serotonin, a neurotransmitter that plays a role in our daily moods.1 Fruits and vegetables like avocado, grapefruit, and okra also work to boost glutathione, an amino acid in charge of detoxification of our body.1

A healthy recipe can taste good and be easy to make. You can whip up this Fruity Kebab in 10 minutes.

    Ingredients

    • 12 strawberries
    • 1 banana, cut into 8 pieces
    • 2 thick slices of fresh or tinned pineapple, peeled and cut into chunks
    • 12 grapes
    • Natural or dairy-free yogurt
    • Add in any other fruits you love

    Steps

    1. Slice the fruits in cubes.
    2. Divide the fruits evenly between the kebab sticks and thread on.
    3. Serve dipped in yogurt

Maintaining a healthy diet is one of the most important factors in reducing your stress levels, so is an employee benefits plan that truly suits your company’s needs. Find out more on our official website.
