Catch a glimpse of three new trends in sports which would unleash your sporty side; Flyball — a new racket game requires concentration and agility, Dodgebee – a fast-paced and simple sport, and Mölkky — a traditional Finnish throwing game.

Originally from Taiwan, flyball has captured the imagination of sports enthusiasts with its innovative fusion of badminton, baseball and tennis elements. Its unique racket, designed to hold and spin the ball with the track installed, is equally eye-catching.

Flyball can be played on a field or a court, while players try to catch the ball à la badminton and tennis. Suitable for players of all ages and fitness levels, the activity trains player’s coordination, concentration and agility. Flyball can be played between individuals or teams. The Hong Kong Flyball Association offers courses to teach interested parties how to play this dashing sports.

Not to be mistaken with a Frisbee, dodgebee is a soft flying disc and can be played in a court. It is an age-friendly sport with similar rules of dodgeball where two teams try to hit their opponents without being hit back. This strategic game of ball throwing and catching boosts agility for physical fitness and coordination.

This Finnish invention is a fun sport relatable to bowling where players must knock over numbered pins (also called skittle) to score 50 points. The Mölkky pins are numbered from 1 to 12 -  but the twist is that the players must not get more than 50 points or their score will be reduced to 25!

The lightweight pins are made for easy throwing, and the game can be played almost anywhere, indoors or outdoors. With its straightforward rules and strategic elements, Mölkky is one of the new trends in sports suitable for everyone regardless of age and condition.
