Le French May is an annual celebration of all things French, organized by the Hong Kong and Macau French Consulate General. Cheung Chau Bun Festival
One of the milestones in the Hong Kong cultural calendar, the Cheung Chau Bun Festival sees towering mountains of handmade buns erected outside Pak Tai Temple in preparation for the Buddha’s Birthday.1 This year, the festival takes place from 19 to 23 May. Apart from the iconic Piu Sik (Floating Colours) Parade, there are also lively Chinese opera performances at Pak Tai Temple Plaza from 7:30pm through 11:00pm during the festival.2 It’s the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in a traditional, uniquely Hong Kong atmosphere.
FIVB Volleyball Nations League
Nothing brings cultures together like some friendly sporting competition. The preliminary rounds of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League are around the corner,3 so pick your favorite team, head down to the Hong Kong Coliseum and get ready to cheer your heart out!
