Assistant Manager, Product Development

The incumbent is responsible for supporting Senior Manager, Product Development, to identify, design and implement various product development initiatives for different distribution channels. The incumbent also assists in on-going product maintenance including product enhancement, competitive analysis, maintenance of sales illustration system, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor market conditions and conduct market research to help identify and propose new product opportunity;
• Conduct sales and customer profile analysis to facilitate up-sell and cross-sell initiatives;
• Assist in product implementation process across all channels;
• Assist in overseeing the entire product development cycle;
• On-going product maintenance including product enhancement, competitive analysis, etc.;
• Provide support for Product Development Work Group;
• Prepare user requirements for sales illustration system, develop test plans, perform acceptance tests, implement and conduct training to users;
• Prepare product launch materials such as product launch kit, operation manual, presentation, etc.;
• Assist in ad-hoc projects.

Requirements:
• University graduate with at least 6 years of working experience in the financial industry including banks and insurance companies;
• Experience in marketing, product development and individual life products;
• Experience in conducting competitive analysis and market research;
• Demonstrated experience in project planning and control;
• Assertive, independent and able to work under tight deadlines;
• Strong analytical abilities and creative energy;
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Good team player with positive attitude;
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skill;
• Sales and customer services oriented.
