Assistant Manager, Legal and Compliance
Working under the Director and Legal Counsel, the incumbent is responsible for legal and compliance functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and advise on legal related documents and marketing material;
Ensure proper management controls are in place to effectively manage regulatory and operational risks;
Assess effectiveness of controls, increase efficiency of operations by conducting independent checks and special reviews for management;
Ensure adherence of policies and procedures to applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably in legal, financial or regulatory sector;
In-depth knowledge of applicable law and regulations in insurance field;
Strong business sense with good organizational skills;
Good command of negotiation and interpersonal skills;
Able to work independently with good analytical skill with the ability to provide sound and practical advise;
Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese; and
Hands on PC skills in using MS applications.
