Assistant Manager, Legal and Compliance

 

Working under the Director and Legal Counsel, the incumbent is responsible for legal and compliance functions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and advise on legal related documents and marketing material;
  • Ensure proper management controls are in place to effectively manage regulatory and operational risks;
  • Assess effectiveness of controls, increase efficiency of operations by conducting independent checks and special reviews for management;
  • Ensure adherence of policies and procedures to applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree with minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably in legal, financial or regulatory sector;
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable law and regulations in insurance field;
  • Strong business sense with good organizational skills;
  • Good command of negotiation and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work independently with good analytical skill with the ability to provide sound and practical advise;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese; and
  • Hands on PC skills in using MS applications.
