Assistant Manager, Actuarial
Working with the Manager, the incumbent is responsible for valuation and related reporting requirements and ensures that the assumptions, methodologies and tools used are consistent with the regulatory and Home Office guidelines as well as reflects the company’s actual practices and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review valuation and financial reporting requirements in HK, US and NZ bases;
- Analyze financial results for the company;
- Develop business plan;
- Conduct experience studies and establish assumptions for valuation and business planning;
- Assist the manager to improve and oversee the valuation control processes and maintain the valuation model.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of working experience with at least 2 years of valuation experience;
- At least an Associate of Society of Actuaries or equivalent;
- Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically Excel and Access;
- Experienced in using of Actuarial software (use of Prophet a plus);
- Strong analytical, problem solving, coaching and project management skills;
- Demonstrates strong business/financial acumen;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work independently and under pressure;
- Experience on US GAAP is an advantage.
